Sentence Bridge: From Correct Sentences to Strong Paragraphs is a short, practical skills bridge for O-Level students seeking to improve their grades in English 11123. Designed as a writing workshop rather than a traditional grammar course, it guides learners from writing correct, complete sentences to creating effective and coherent paragraphs.

Students begin with a diagnostic writing task to identify strengths and weaknesses. They then learn to avoid fragments, run-on sentences, and comma splices; expand sentences with meaningful detail; combine ideas using clauses and conjunctions; and control simple, compound, and complex structures. They also practise varying sentence openings, lengths, and rhythms, connecting sentences logically, and developing one idea in four different sentence types without repeating grammatical patterns.

By the end, students will rewrite and compare their original work, making their progress visible and building confidence for the next stage: Paragraph Writing.
